Managed Services Advisor (Commission-Only)

Kayla Technology Advisors is seeking experienced Managed Services Advisors to originate and close Managed IT and Managed Security engagements across SMB and mid-market organizations.
This role is designed for professionals who already possess trusted client relationships and can position managed services at an executive level. The focus is on outcome- driven advisory selling, not transactional or break/fix services. This is a commission-only opportunity for self-directed professionals who are comfortable monetizing their network and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Source, qualify, and close Managed Services opportunities
  • Position Kayla IT as a long-term technology advisor
  • Sell recurring and project-based services including:
    • Managed IT Services
    • Managed Security & Compliance
    • Cloud and Infrastructure Services
  • Collaborate with delivery leadership on scoping, pricing, and handoff
  • Maintain ownership of client relationships through close and transition

Commission Structure

  • 4% of Year 1 Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) for Managed Services deals
  • Payout Structure:
    • 40% paid upfront upon initial revenue collection
    • 60% paid monthly as recurring revenue is collected
  • +1% bundling bonus for multi-service engagements
  • Additional SPIFs and cross-sell incentives may apply

Commissions are paid only after client payments are received and verified by Kayla Technology Advisors.

  • Former MSP owners, vCIOs, IT consultants, or senior advisors
  • Sales professionals with established IT decision-maker relationships
  • Individuals who understand MSP economics and buyer decision cycles
  • Professionals who can sell trust, outcomes, and long-term value

Role Requirements

  • Proven ability to originate and close IT services opportunities
  • Strong executive-level communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
  • Comfort with performance-based compensation models

What This Role Is Not

  • No base salary
  • No benefits
